No Provisional/Hardship License in New Jersey
If your driver’s license is suspended or revoked in New Jersey, there is no way to obtain a license that will allow you to drive a motor vehicle on New Jersey roads until you are eligible to get your license back. And, even after that period, you could be required to have an ignition interlock device(IID) installed in your vehicle.
Recent changes to New Jersey DWI law have made it increasingly likely that an ignition interlock device will be installed. If a valid Alcotest or other blood alcohol content (BAC) test results in a BAC of .15 or higher, or if you have been convicted of more than one DWI in New Jersey, you will be required to have an IID installed on any vehicle you drive.
