JOHN W. It can happen to anybody, being at the wrong place at the wrong time, having a little bit too much to drink. And the next thing you know, you’re stopped by the police. I’ve had a lot of success defending DWI cases by challenging the police officer’s right to stop my client’s car in the first place and also by challenging the probable cause for the arrest. The officer did not have probable cause to stop the car or to later make the arrest for DWI. I know how to get the evidence thrown out. And that’s going to get us a great outcome. If there’s a breath test or a blood-alcohol test and your blood-alcohol level’s a 0.08 percent or higher, you’re over the legal limit in New Jersey.
